  • Best in its Class
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 18, 2016

This is by far the best 250 dual sport bike you can get. Low maintenance machine. Will do anything you ask it to do. Solid built bike. Awesome maintenance intervals. Could leave it all stock and be happy with it. Best part is that it has a ton of aftermarket parts that you can add to it to ...

    2012 WR250R

    Up Side..............................

    Tall gearing for highway use

    Good power

    Good MPG

Fully adjustable shocks front and back

Strong charging system for things like heated vest, grips ect..

    Electric start

    Aluminium frame ...

    Aluminium wheels

Fuel Injected - not sure if this is a good idea on a dirt bike thats used in such harsh conditions

    Steering lock

    Gas cap lock

    Helmot lock

    On the down side............................

    High Price

    Harsh ride over small bumps

    Hard seat

    Very Tall

Choppy on off throttle at slow speeds

    NO TACH

LCD display is hard to read and seems cheep

Great bike for hard charging the trails. Been looking for a dual sport that can run the highway and take the big hits off road for years and the WR does it well.

I think the new honda 250 may kick Yamaha down to second place with there MUCH LOWER PRICE and "almost" exact specs. And the Honda is a better looking bike too with a lower seat.

    Time will tell.....
