Jims Australin Cruiser

Hi to all who read this review and hopefully find it helpfull. Ive been riding motorcyles for 32years, so have had my fair share of thrills and spills. Ive always had road and dual purpose bikes and have switched to cruisers, mybe because its time to slow down you may be thinking, well yes and no. I... had been looking around for a long while before making the decision. I have read review after review on you name it any cruiser I have read it, I finaly settled on the c50t Suzuki boulevard. "Why", Well it was value for money, reliability, looks and handling. I have taken out countless cruisers for test rides and the c50t was up there with the best if not better. Yes it does lack a bit of power 2 up but then again it is only an 800cc for the weight and it a cruiser not a sports bike. Ive had mine a year now and it has been great. When my wife and I pull up on it people come over and look and ask questions about it. The one question we get asked is it a Harley. Well no its not and Im glad its not, thats not to say there is anything wrong with Harleys but I took out a couple of Harleys for test rides and they didnt seem to be everything they were cracked up to be, but I do like Harleys but cant justify the price tag for what you get. Again the Suzuki is not a Harley and is not supposed to look like a harley its a cruiser. It takes on the old slight Indian look and classic and custom look mixed together. Anyway the performance is good not breath taking but quick, it handles well but like all cruisers will not negotiate round abouts at high speed but what cruiser will. Reliability is faultless the bikes been great and my wife and I have been out and about on long trips with no problem at all. If your thinking about a Suzuki look on You Tube at the reviews on there as the Americans love it and I do to here in Australia. I have since buying the bike added a chrome radiator cover from America, studded saddle bags and sissybar and feel thats enough without going to far. I have just downsized from a yamaha roadliner to a c50t. It has acceptable power for it's size. It is underbraked in the front but cruizer riders should cruize not race. It handles very well for its weight becuse of it's length and tyre widths. Suspension is first rate. Seat and rider position are t...he best I've experienced. The finish is cheap and light suzuki plastic all the way, time will tell how flimsey it really is, but does not look bad. The c50t is not a harley, do not lug it around to try and get that harley sound, you are cheating yourself out of it's best performance if you under-rev it. Read Full Review
