Great but getting parts is a Pain

I like the ride and convenience of my kymco 150 super 8. However at 45 miles the lights went out. It took the Honda dealer (an authorized kymco dealer) who sold it to me, 3 months to get parts and repair it. Just as good as honda (WAY BETTER VALUE THEN HONDA!) You cant go wrong with a kymco!!

I have had my 2009 kymco super 8 150 for a 3 months now. i bought it used with 230 miles on it. i currently have 1030 miles on it now, and let me tell ya, i love my kymco! everyone complements it! (and these are the same people that made fun of scooters) i havnt had a problom yet besides the factory... tire in the rear is a lil more unbalanced than it should have been, but i put some dyna-beads in it and it solved the vibration problom for the most part. My other 3 minor complaints would be that the seat doesnt latch right,so anyone can get into it, so dont put anything valuabe in it. another complaint is the suspension and seat is a little stiff, but its easly tolarated, especially if you drive ,mostly on smooth roads. My last conplaint is that i cant take it on the interstates becuase it doesnt go fast enough,(but its kind of a given becuase it only a 150cc) so its hardly a complaint. i weigh 150 and i can easily go 55 mph , but on a straight road and if i tuck down i can get it up to 65 mph. My overall verdict...i love it! will def buy another kymco! Excellent Scooter for me!

I from the Philippines and and I am the user of Super 8 also but in different displacement, I got my Super 8 125 last Sept. 8, 2009, for me its a excellent scooter and my wife like it also, we used everyday as a mode of transportation, Super 8 further differentiates itself from other 'hybrid' underb...one/scooter with 100 profile front tires, and fatter 120 profile rear tires. A step-thru design allows riders like me to move freely while seated to find the most comfortable riding position. Mid-corner bumps even failed to upset the Super 8 dynamic handling characteristic making fun and exciting to ride. Read Full Review

the elevation isn't and issue just retune the carb fuel/air screw, however gravel or dirt roads is not for this or any other scooter, I nearly crashed and/ or feel over twice on gravel driveways, thats why I park on the road or the grass (if they'll let me). it sounds like you need a honda enduro or... similar dual sport bike.
