2011 Kaw voyager

I have been riding motorcycles my whole life (about 45 years). I bought my 2011 Voyager about a month ago and by far the best bike I have ever owned. Although I don't have a lot of miles on it, (700+) it handles great the gas mileage is about 45 mpg, pretty good for a 1700. Thanks Kawasaki for takin...g the Nomad and making it a true touring bike. Vulcan voyager 2011

I was not sure about this bike till i tried it and it appear to be wonderful. Most important you don't feel much heat on the legs when temperature above 100.

Beautiful Bike under powered..

Three weeks ago I saw this Beautiful Blue and Silver Voyager. I strated to read more online about this bike. All reviews looked good.

This weekend I finally got to test ride. Very comfortable, easy to control, My biggist let down was the power.

Looks can be deceiving...

After many years and several thousands of miles on the same bike (i have 1999 VN1500 classic and 1980 Yamaha XS1100) i have decided to get a new bike. In september 2011 i have purchased 2011 Vulcan 1700 Voyager with ABS. Until december i was able to put about 1800 miles on it. Here are some of the t...hings that i can say about this bike...
Likes:
Rides like a bicycle, very nice and smooth handling. Nice in the corners event with the height of the seat (it's much higher than my VN1500). Speed indicator is nice (bikes allways feel like they have one more gear and we try to shift)

Dislikes:
Luck of power, shifting lower gears will most of the times result in loud "clunk" that never happend with my old VN1500. Driver seat if very comfy if you go to the cormer store... on longer rides get Mustang or Corbin seat.
Annoying raddle coming from where the ignition key is located but nothing is loose there. ABS often "jerks" front wheel even if you don't break hard.

It was first nice, worm day this year. Took both bikes out (one at the time) for a short 150 miles rides, comparing the two bikes i asked myself if purchasing Voyager was a good idea. But that's only my opinion. Some of you will agree with me others might not. Read Full Review

Kawi 1700 Voyager by Rooster

Been riding for 40 + years and have had sport bikes, sport tours and cruisers and standards. I find that the Voyager fits my 6' 2" 220 # frame much better than the Harley Ultra. I was really "hot for a Harley Ultra until I test road one for several miles. I just felt a tad bit too cramped... and the price for what you get was a little over the top for what I felt I got for my $s. Down side of the Voyaer ,in my opinion, is some of the goodies missing from what should be included in a bike designed for traveling long distances ie: como system including C.B. ,better radio system, better carrying capacity,385 # is a bit light for two up with luggage, and an engine that uses regular fuel. I also replaced OEM tires with Michelin Commander II front and rear, but had to put on a slightly narrower rear as Michelin didnt make an exact match. This has improved the mileage I get particularly on the rear tire. Over all though a good bike for the money, and a very generous warranty. Read Full Review
