Excellent bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 19, 2011Traded up from a Vstar 650 and am very happy with the choice. Twist the throttle and it GOES. On the mountain roads of north Georgia, it handles the turns like a pro. Has a higher ground clearance than my wife's Vstar 950. Have ridden it from Atlanta to Key West and back without any issues. ... Only discomfort was the stock seat. Strongly recommend replacing it or at least buying an Air Hawk before going on a long trip.
Summary, excellent for a first time bike. Excellent for a seasoned pro. Excellent bike. Excellent ride.

Great Bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 20, 2011I have nothing but good things to say about this bike. The 900 is a great commuter bike and still keeps up with the big boys on the open road. Others have said that it is buzzy, but comming from riding a 650 the 900 is not buzzy at all at any speed. It handles very well, has a smooth and comfortable ... ride and is as agressive as you need it to be. Love this bike.

Amazing little Vulcan 900
By (I am an Owner) on May 21, 2010I purchased a brand new 2009 Vulcan, and added floorboards front and aft..saddlebags, luggage rack, windshield, and backrest. This little? cruiser has been great! After the initial break-in period..I ran it for 200 miles with wife and suitcase..yes, suitcase, strapped on the back...along with my ... wife's laptop! We rode with another couple..they have Harleys..."big un's" and we kept up nicely, thank you! This bike is smooth, very stable in wind and rain, and I am very comfortable anywhere I go. I only average about 38 mpg as we live in a fairly mountainous region, but this bike can do it all...There is no lack of power, and the standard exhaust looks great, and sounds OK. I may change the exhaust later...but for now...The only thing I would change is to add a "real" luggage bag for longer trips. My wife loves this bike! Nuff said!!! I give this bike 6 stars!!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 04, 2009Wow, was not planning to buy a Vulcan, looking at Yamaha's 950. Glad I bought this one great ride, as strong as my brother's Honda 1100, no problems keeping up with him. Perfect for both highways and city riding.

Vulcan 900 Classic LT
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 03, 2009I bought an 06 Classic LT. I found the seat to be torture so replaced it with a mustang with driver backrest. Now it is great. Have ridden over 9000 miles and plan to ride it many more. It handles great. Is great in the twisties of NC and can keep up with a nomad 1600 without straining when ... on the superslab. I have tried a Nomad 1500 and a Yamaha 650 silverado and also a HD Sportster 1200. Without a doubt, the Vulcan 900 Classic LT is my choice for a comfortable dependable fun bike. I graded it down one on comfort but not anymore with the Mustang Seat.

09 Vulcan 900 classic
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 07, 2009Traded in a VLX 600 for a Vulcan 900 and am more than pleased. I have owned the bike less than a week and have put about 500 miles of in town and moderately curvy roads. The Vulcan is easy to handle in the city and is a dream on curvy scenic roads. I plan to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, beginning ... in VA and ending in NC,in Aug. I have no doubt that I have chosen the right bike. The only thing I would change is a better shock on the rear.

2009 Vulcan 900 Classic
By (I am an Owner) on May 01, 2009I rode 125 cc bikes 15 yrs back. When deciding to buy a bike last month, i thought 500 cc should be more than enough. Finally got convinced by others that i need atleast 900cc if i want to ride on freeways.
So, bought the 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic few weeks back. Bike looks great and ... i hear from others other engine is best in market for reliability.
But after riding on it for 300 miles, i feel that i should have bought a Vulcan 1600. Vulcan 900 is flat on freeways when you are in the 5th gear. Seat and handle position aren't that great for riding more than 20 mins or so.
If you are looking for a cheap and good looking bike to just ride on internal roads, go for this bike, else look for some other bigger bikes
