A touring must have
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 10, 2012I love my 2009 Vulcan 2000LT Classic. It handles great in the mountains on the hills and it loves the curves. the throtle responce is instant and it has the poweer to make you feel a rush when you screw it on (make sure you have a good grip when you do this) it handles well in traffic and after ... you have ridden it you will find that even at slow speeds it is very easy to ride. I found that it wasn't the hardness of the seat that was bad it is the nauglgahide covering and I made a sheep skin cover to let my bottom have fresh air and I can ride for 5oo miles with out a sore butt. yes I like every one have to stop for fuel and food but can climb back on and go again.

Too much fun!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 08, 2010I traded my 2003 Vulcan 1600 in three weeks age on a new 09 V2K, I sent the first weekend getting the Big Ole Girl broke in. Then we went on a 7 day 2400 mile ride from the Florida Panhandle up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Oh My God, This is the best bike I have ever riden. Power & more power. When ... you twist the grip you hsd beter be hanging on. Getting 38 MPH on average. You really do not feel the extra weight. I am 5'11: 225 lbs and have plenty of room, she fits just right. If you ever have the change to buy one do yourself a favor and buy it. The seat is a bit on the hard side, nothing a mustang seat will not fix. She handled eveything real good, the hills and the twistys. She loves long sweeping curves. Rock solid at all speeds. I just cannot say enough about this bike!!

Awesome Power
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 04, 2009This bike can flat fly. Don't be intimidated by its size - it sits low and is very comfortable and easy to maneuver on the road. Slow speed maneuvering in a parking lot can be a bit of a challenge for shorter riders. She has lots of power and loves to show it. Plenty of torque, this bike has ... a nice power band that will leave you smiling all the way to triple digits. The saddle is a little hard for long trips but an aftermarket pad such as the Air Hawk will add many hours of pure power and enjoyment to your days ride. Suspension is too soft and unresponsive for aggressive riding. It's easy to drag the floorboards and exhaust thru tight turns at high speed but take it easy and roll on the throttle and she'll come ripping out of the turn like a scalded dog. Good tires like the Metzler ME880 will improve the ride and comfort. If I had to do it again, I'd buy this ride in a heart beat!
