Great First Bike.
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 18, 2009I started late in riding and this was a perfect choice (although not my first choice) as a "trainer". I like the idea of the liquid cooling over the traditional air cooling. The bike has a very friendly seat height. I am 6'2" so at first the bike seemed almost tiny to me but as a got a bit more ... familiar it grew on me. it has more than ample power to move my 250#'s and can keep up on the interstate with no difficulty. Six speeds help help the twin parallel ease the strain at high speed. If you plan on a passenger it has a max recommended total weight of 399 #'s including luggage and you may opt for a bigger bike. Fuel economy is excellent! It seems very friendly in normal driving and highway travel but is a bit cumbersome in a tight parking lot at low speed.
My bike has stock windshield and Fire & Steel sissy bar with aftermarket saddlebags.
