Great bike!!!!!!!!!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 29, 2011I bought my 06 cbr 600rr 3 years ago. It had about 1000 miles on it (a baby) I've put +5k on it. I couldn't be more happy with what I bought! Went from a 02 kawi zx7r...CBR would blow the fairings off the kawi. Love the fuel injection, very smooth. If your thinking of buying one, I wouldn't ... hesitate. I did a lot of research and pricing on all the 600 classes from 05-08 and found all raves of the 06 cbr...with good reason. This bike truly makes you feel like you are in total control. If your wondering why I rated Ride & Comfort lower...its because its a sport bike, none are as comfortable as a cruiser.

best blend of power and handlind
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 16, 2011this is the best bike i have ever ridden for $ to quality prospective. real easy to ride very forgiving and engine and transmission are in complete sink. I have had 3 of these bikes in last 3 years. every year I sell it to upgrade but after several test drives on other bikes i end up buying the same ... one. the only bike i would change this for is ducati and even that is only because of looks this bike rides better in my opinion.

2006 CBR 600 RR
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2010I had bought my 2006 Honda CBR 600 RR in the spring of 2010, when I bought it, the bike had a little over 7,000 miles on it. At first the gas mileage wasn't too great, but once I hit around 12,000 miles, I started hitting over 43 miles to the gallon, I am loving it! The power of the bike is great, ... I absolutely love the design of this model the best out of all models I have seen thus far. I will have it until it dies, the bike is totally paid off. The only down side is the comfort ability of the bike, great for short trips, but long ones, the butt will be numb. Would definitely recommend the bike to others.

CBR Mediocrity
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 01, 2010All my life i have driven Kawi's, and have loved them but wanted a change. I decided on an 06 cbr600rr and ive been a bit disappointed. Its not a BAD bike but i wish i would have stuck with what i knew. I like it for cornering but the engine just wont pull as hard as i expected it would. Bit of a ... let down.

First Bike Fail
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 01, 2010I dont know if i got a lemon or something but i bought this bike brand new and it has been nothing but problems, i have had to replaced the battery several times, also the fork seals leak and i have also had a coolant leak. The windshield vibrates and makes a buzzing noise around 5000 rpm. The last ... thing i have a problem with is the power, it is probably the slowest 600 sportbike out there. Almost no low end and wont hit the power til 9000 rpm. I do like the looks though, and the seating position (though the seat is harder than a rock). Anyway i give it 3 out of ten, i should have waited for the 2007 honda. Awesome bike.

what dreams are made of..
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 08, 2010This is my third bike, and big surprize its the best bike i have owned. I am filled with such delight everytime i punch the gas, the sound from my carbon fiber Jardine underseat exhaust is like a starved angry lion within reach of its next prey . Sure the 1000's will take it in a strait line, but ... not by much, and once they have to turn those boats the 600 will gladly say "buh bye". The quality is never cut on a Honda and i find everything ergonomic as always with the Japanese brand. Over 8000 rpm it is an acceleration beast, it takes no time at all before your going 130 from 75. I love the confident feeling of the bike it gives the rider, like even if you throw it in a situation that gets a little hairy; it will keep you in line. The accents of gold from the forks and suspension are pure love, and the mix of the sleek/sharp contours of the body are ultra sexy and never become outdated.
I have no issues with the seat comfort, if i wanted to sit on a couch i would have stayed home, the riding position is aggressive because? It's an Agressive Bike! But its not that bad at all unless you are used to Harleys of Touring bikes, ive been bred on Sportbikes. I love the way the downpipe looks peering under the opening in the fairing it hints at the motoGp roots its bloodline and history are derived.
The gauges are simple and versitile, at night they glow a great tangerine color, and when you start her up it gives a very modern meter check for the rider. Great bike, sweet dreams..

3 years later.
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 26, 2009I bought my 600RR new in 2006 from Maxey's in Oklahoma City. I have put 19,000 miles on it so far, and I think I will keep it until it dies or I die. I have been riding for over ten years and have owned more than 15 motorcycles. I have never been so completely pleased with a bike as I have been with ... the 600RR. I cruise around town with it, I commute on it in every kind of weather year round (but not snow), I have taken riden it to Phoenix, and carved HWY 7 from Russelville to Hot Springs, AR. The bike is comfortable for a guy my size (5'10"/155 lbs) to ride straight through a tank of gas without taking breaks. It handles well and with such confidence that I have worn the outside of my shoe soles taking corners. I have had it up to 160mph where it is rock solid, and I have sat in bumper-to-bumper Dallas traffic in August where it doesn't overheat. Maintenance is easy (except for the valve adjustment and air filter changes). This is a really great bike!

Love her!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 21, 2009I have been riding street bikes for 20yrs(power cruiser) finely took the next step to cannon carver. Struggled w/ the 600/1000 decision, obviously I chose the 600. No complaint's about seat comfort, under seat exhaust heat, or anything.
I have no trouble keeping up w/ the 1000's and often ... pass them on curvy mountain roads. And no I don't ever lead the pack, the guy's in the leather's are just too much.
The bike is lot's of fun, low maint. I love this thing.

Great Bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 23, 2008This bike is amazing in every way. It has great handling and power through the corners. I've been able to outride 750's with it. Plus the styling always turns heads. I've never had any mechanical problems and it's easy to upgrade or customize. This was my second bike from a CBR 600F4 and it ... has satisfied me but it could also make a good first bike. This 600RR is the way to go for new and experience riders!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 23, 2008This is a great all around bike. I ride mine on the track and ride on the street (even back home from the track sometimes). The motorcycle is fun to ride, handles well, and has plenty of power. The only negative comment would be about changing the oil. You have to take half of the right side ... fairings off just to get to the oil filter. Newer models are a little easier, but you still have to remove the fairing. Overall a really great bike on the road or on the track. The lack of Honda sponsored Honda riders and lack of Honda sponsorship is disappointing around the track, but does not detract from the bike's performance or looks.

2006 CBR 600RR
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 17, 2008First bike owned. Have ridden sport bikes and cruisers and fell in love with the styling of Honda's CBRs. Originally considered purchasing 1998 Honda CBR 600F3 only due to cost of the RR. Could not bring myself to ignore the styling of the RR and ending up purchasing one. I have also been impressed ... with the value at which Honda CBR line is retained. For anyone looking at the CBR600RR I would definitely recommend it. After you get one you have trouble parting from it... it becomes an addiction. Spend some time on 600RR.net and you will quickly understand why.

Best Ride of your Life
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008For a first street bike, respect is the game. This bike, a fantastic machine in its own right has forever set the bar in performance, looks and design. Ive been riding for about 2 years and still to this day I come to learn that this bike still has far more potential than I can throw at it. With ... every high, there is a low...only in this bikes case the low is easly fixed and not a huge concern while considering buying. The issue I speak of of course is the seat and riding position. While having a very aggressive stance while riding the seat does not match the comfort zone I would like. Any trip over 80-100 miles will surely make say "ahhhhhhh" when you peel yourself off the seat from a nice long ride. Though a nice custom corbin or gel seat and poof, problem eliminated. And while yet being an absolute monster over 7500rpm the CBR's have always lacked just a little in the mid-range compared to other 600's. Though I found with a slip on exhaust, performance air filter and possibly a power commander depending on your cash flow totally corrects the imperfection and allows this bike to propel to the top of its class in performance and perfection to detail! I am in love!
