I love mine
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 13, 2013I've had my PCX 150 for about3 months, love it!! I take mine back and forth to work,54 miles each way,and can't wait for warm weather again. I use non ethanol gas in mine, real gas,and I'm getting close to 100 mpg. I can't say enough good about this scooter. I'm a small guy,145 lbs,and the ride is ... comfortable to me. I get blown around on the highway some, but when your expecting it,it's not so bad. C'mon spring!! :) I paid $3800.00 and change out the door, that included a new helmet...

Honda PCX 150...Enough For Me
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 31, 2013Had this bike for about 10 months and it has exceeded most of my expectations. I spent many months on the internet trying to decided what to buy and decided on the Honda due to anticipated quality and re-sale value. Here is my summary:
1. Typical Honda quality...excellent
2. 0-30 ... Greatest thing on 2 wheels
3. 30-50 Still excellent.
4. 50-top end...Good but starts acting like a scooter at high speed...wanders, feels very lite, lots of wind.
I am constantly amazed at how much fun and how easy this thing is to live with. Best for short hops and short trips(my longrst has been 110 miles).
Gas usage is minimal. I always take the long way home...I am 18 again when on it.
Thanks Honda.

Im very happy with my PCX 150
By (I am a Writer) on Apr 30, 2013I have owned my PCX 150 for 7 months and am very pleased with it. I kept track of the gas milage and after 10 tanks of fuel it averaged 96 miles per gallon. Most of those miles were with 2 riders aboard. The only 2 complaints I had was the uncomfortable seat and the stiff ride. The seat was so ... uncomfortable as it had a "butt" rest that didn't fit me and the seat was so hard. I had the seat rebuilt and now its good. Also the ride was too stiff especially over bumps in the road. I had the rear springs replaced with a hydraulic shocks and the ride is much better.
I live in Thailand (a USA expat) and they are very popular here. I have had many motorcycles through the years and this is one of the best I have ever owned.

Just back from Thailand and....
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jan 23, 2013The PCX150 sells for around $3,000. US/CA in Thailand. I rented one for a month and put 2,000 km on it, mostly in heavy traffic on Phuket. Terrific bike, lots of power for 2-up riding. Considering one for out in the Ottawa Valley since we want to return to Thailand and we'll both be used to the ... ride. Good for slowish cruising on uncrowded, paved rural roads or as a commuter in heavy city traffic. Not the best between these 2 places. Auto trans is really great for an old fart like me.

new owner
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 25, 2012Had mine about two weeks and seem to be getting 80-90 MPG on mostly very short trips.
Easily cruises in the 50MPH range and tops out in low 60's with me (6'2" 225lbs.
Very good quality but it seems a little expensive - About $4,250 with all taxes, tag etc. here in Fort ... Lauderdale.
Main concern with me is the complicated technology with no manual start and fuel injection. When eventually it needs repaired how expensive will this be?
Other than the fact that I am a little on the large size for this scooter I am quite happy with it for trips where I don't need to exceed 55MPH (None of the smaller displacement scooters seem to really be designed for taller, heavier people).
If you can afford this scooter I would say - highly reccommended. If your budget is tight this might not be the machine for you.
A luggage box is a good idea and I have ordered a Givi 30 liter Mo0nolock as more storage is needed. About $200 when including the required rack.
Best reccomendation I can give is if stolen (I am insured) I would get another one most likely.

why are you waiting!?!?
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 11, 2012Any scooter has proved to be just a bit short for me standing at 6'2 but the PCX fits better than any other I sat on. Although it is obviously no touring bike, it is the perfect machine for commuting and day trips. I average about 95 miles to a gas tank as it is only a little over a gallon. It ... would be stupid not to buy a full-faced helmet since it will fit under the seat below. Have fun and see you on the road!

Everything I Thought It Would Be
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 11, 2012I've had my new 150 for about a month now. Before I purchased it, I was in a real conundrum trying to decide between a scooter or a motorcycle. Since I ride everyday, I decided a scooter was the way to go because it is so easy to jump on a zip around town. No worries finding parking. I've also had ... it on the highways. I'm 205 and the fastest I've been able to reach is 67 mph. Getting to 60 is easy and fast. On flat road with no wind the 67 for me was possible. However as soon as I hit a little head wind or small incline, I drop to 60 quickly. My first gallon of gas I was able to get 111 mpg. Now that was keeping under 50 around town. Once I got up to highway speeds. The mix of 50/50 highway/in town gives me 80 mpg. I know now that if I want too, I can get on the fast roads and cruise a little. However like I first said, in town driving was why I chose the scooter in the first place. I chose the PCX 150 because of all the great reviews it has received. For the purposes I need the scooter, I know I made the right choice. Last thing, the seat is a little stiff compared to other scooters I've had. I've also had a Honda Metropolitan, and that seat was a touch softer.

PCX 150 price
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 10, 2012To whom this may concern,
The price of the PCX 150 is USD 3 500 , 00 in Indonesia and not USD 800 - 1 000 . For that price go buy Bajai scooter and Im not even sure you can buy one.

In response to Kevin
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Oct 02, 2012I don't think you shocked anyone with the Asian pricing you gave. Simply because it is untrue. While pricing is better closer to where it was made (duh) it's not $800-1000. It's $2500 USD in Taiwan for example. Maybe you are pricing the cheap Chinese made scooters, not a Honda.

It does what it claims todo very well
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 26, 2012This is a light scooter with freeway capability. No one advertises it as a realtime cruiser. I have had mine for over a month now and purchased it with a tall givi windshield and a 35 liter givi top case on back. I am around 260# and 6'-1" tall. I am getting just over 97mpg the last tank I checked ... at 700 miles or so. It will run up to 55mph comfortably and cruise there without much trouble. Above 55mph you start to feel how light the bike is. It becomes what we used to call "froggy feeling" when I was young. Not tremendously dangerous, just sort of loose handling and buffeted around fairly easilly by other vehicles. It does handle very well below 55mph. Turns very well. Leaning into a turn is comfortable as opposed to the smaller wheeled scooters I have done this on and did not feel comfortable doing so. It accelerates well up to around 50mph to 55mph and will keep pulling up to 65mph or so. I don't feel comfortable on the highway at 60mph or more. It is just too light for traffic and wind conditions at that speed for me. But otherwise it is great at everything else and acceptable for short runs as needed going highway speeds. I ride mine to work and back every day now using roughly 2 gallons of gas a week or less. The gas savings basicly cover the scooter loan and insurance costs. When added up the savings making it almost free to buy/ride. Only maintenance exceeds savings and that by only a few houndred a year if riding everyday like i do. Basicly I am very happy with mine and would recomend it for anyone wanting a fun, single rider, high mileage in town bike. Or even a bike for those winding country roads you can't go that fast on anyway. Basicly it does what it claims to do very well.

In Response to office Commuter
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jul 31, 2012In response to office commuter
Not sure if I can call your choice of buying this Honda PCX 150 a smart choice.
This scooter was introduced in Taiwan, UK, and other Asian countries prior to launching in the United States. The actual price of this vehicle in Asian countries ... ranges between 800 to 1100 US dollars (On The Road/Out The Door price). This vehicle may be manufactured in Taiwan/China etc and imported into the US. In the US you have paid $4400.
Not sure what is the fun in paying 400% over the price. Your recommended price is still over 300%. May be you should have retained you Elite 2010 or Zuma 125. However I agree with your ratings except for the price.
Good Luck with your Honda PCX 150. Hope I did not shock you.

Well worth the wait
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 31, 2012I have been riding motorcycles for 49 years. Scoot is nimble, good brakes, gets up to speed quickly, excellent fuel mileage. Has adequate storage, holds my full face helmet, leather jacket and gloves. Excellent fit and finish. Seat is a little hard for longer rides; however it wasn't designed to ... be a cruiser. Also seems light for freeway traffic. 3,449. plus Oregon DMV out the door in Medford. For what it is designed for It is a solid 4.9 stars. A bit more power and improved seat padding and this would be a true freeway commuter.

Not worth the money but good
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 29, 2012Last week I purchased ($4400 Out The Door) this vehicle and took it for a ride in and around Chicago area.
It was good in streets but i would not recommend for highway. I believe Honda is trying to compete with big boys. When speeding trucks/SUV/Car passes by my vehicle is getting ... pushed and at times its scary.
Price:
The price is too much. I would say US $3750 Out The Door would be the right price. Vehicle has too many Plastic/Fibre parts. I can rate 3 1/2 Star out of 5
MPG:
I doubt it gives 102 MPG. I can say average 90 MPG. I am decent driver and never rough handle my vehicle.
Quality:
I can only give 3 1/2 Star out of 5.
Utility:
Just a Helmet and gloves alone can be kept. Cant keep your Jacket. Its very bad.
Recommendation:
Buy this Vehicle only if you are getting a good deal. Do not buy for over $3800 its not worth it.
I am previous owner of 2010 Elite and Yamaha Zuma 125. 2010 Elite was great on Mileage and inside city ride.
