The beast

Not so comfortable.
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 11, 2012I have to be honest, I bought this bike after I sold my Harley Davidson Ultra Classic so they are 2 different types of bikes. I bought it in 2011, and it had been sold new in early 2011.(2007 model). It had 1800 miles on it when I got it, and it now has 7000 miles on it. My complaints are simple, ... it is a rocket and I miss my couch. On my Harley 100 mph was pushing it, on the Honda 100 mph it is just starting to breath. More than once I have found myself close to 100 mph without realizing it. In fact, it has a smooth spot at 126 mph where it tends to hang. Unfortunately I am 48 years old, and have ridden all of my life and know better. As reviews go all I can say is, the bike is pretty and fast. If you seek transportation this isn't it. If you seek a wet seat, this is the one! It took nearly 5k miles for me to get comfortable with the acceleration on it. Never in my life have I had a problem with the rear tire coming out from underneath me, but I do on this. Once you understand when it will spin the back tire, and when it will lift the front tire you are able to adjust your acceleration accordingly.

My Dream is now a Reality
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 04, 2011Bought my VTX in July 2010 "0 miles" new out of the crate. Cannot complain about anything on this beast! have racked up almost 10k miles on it and she rips miles off like no tormorrow. I am constantly asked what kind of bike it is and I get the same look of shock when I tell them Honda. I look forward ... to many years of enjoyment from this road beast.

Muscle Machine
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 23, 2011Purchased my 2007 VTX 1800 F Spec 3 new in September '09. Have since logged 5000+ miles on this stripped down beast
(which is exactly why I bought it.)
No saddle bags. no windshield or fairing
no sisy bar etc., just pure muscle.
Have had absolutely no mechanical issues ...
since the day I rode it out of the showroom. I'm not sure why Honda discontinued it, but I'd buy another one in a minute.
