Outstanding machine

I have owned many Harleys over the years, new and used and when I rode my 2010 Heritage for the first time at the dealer, I couldn't believe how smooth and comfortable this bike is and the handling is effortless. I always loved the dressers of the 30's-50's and this bike hits it right on. The only t...hing that I think Harley should offer as an option is the old buddy seat and the hard saddlebags of the fifties, but only as an option for the people that want them. One sweet ride

I have ridden motorcycles for almost 40 years and owned both Harley's and and metric bikes. I checked out all the Harley Davidson models and chose the 2010 Heritage. The bike feels like it was custom made just for me. It is very comfortable and easy to handle both in town and on the road. I love th...e retro look of the bike. Relaxed ride

I bought my 2010 Heritage Softail Classic in January in northern indiana and rode it home to central indiana (52 miles)32 degrees outside. this bike loves cold weather. As with all Heritage's your right led really feels the heat from the rear cylinder when its above 75 degrees outside or your stoppe...d in traffic. Rode the bike from Indianapolis to Dallas at the end of March with strong winds most of the way. I would like to know where Harley-Davidson comes up with their MPG because the best mpg I got is 47 mpg at 55 mph, 42 mpg at 65 mph, 35 mpg at 70-75 mph, and 25 mpg at 95+ mph. I average about 43 mpg due to driving conditions in my area. Most people that I have ridden with say that I change gears at too low of rpm, however I change gears according to the owners manual. As far as the rest of the bike goes I love it. Its a smooth ride, corners great for a bigger bike, and everyone seems to like it. Don't trust the miles until next fill up part of the gage (it read 50 miles of gas left and it started cutting within 7 miles). The engine guard really works (I forgot to put the kick stand down once and it rolled off the kick stand once) it saved the bike twice. I tend to ride a little long because I am so relaxed. Enjoying the ride

Just traded my '06 streetbob for the '10 Heritage and I could not be happier. The ride is very smooth and nice power also. It took about 18 hrs to hit the 500 mile break in period. It has not disappointed me in anyway as of yet. The only thing I could say negative is the mpg is not what they claim. ...My wife says its the best bike she has ever ridden, this includes Ultra claccics' Metrics. I agree with her it is definately worth consideration if you are in the market for a bike. Read Full Review

Sweet Ride

This is my second Heritage, the first being a 2006 FLST. The 2010 has many great features over the '06. I like the power, shifting is right there - really no need for a tach. Mileage went from around 42 to over 50 after break in period. I like the new style handlebars over the older models, they pro...vide miles of comfort. I am only 5'-6" with boots on and am very comfortable with ride height. If I have any gripes about the Heritage, it would be the saddlebags. Why can't Harley provide a bag built like the Road King Classic so they retain their shape. All in all, a wonderful motorcycling experience. The wife is still comfortable after 400 miles and we are both over 50. Read Full Review
