Simply incredible................
By (I am an Owner) on May 01, 2009I recently purchased a 2005 S4R and I must say that I am very pleased with this machine. This bike is surprisingly comfortable, amazingly responsive and exceptionally powerful. And, what a beauty!! :)

comfortable sportbike
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 02, 2008It's a beautiful bike with high quality components throughout and build quality is excellent. This is my first dry clutch ... I understand the "character" of the rattle, but it is lound and getting louder.
It demands your full attention around town, perhaps too much for a commuter... ... taught suspension, very responsive handling, demanding clutch. But I love the power and responsive chasis. A match for any bike on any road short of a drag strip. Underway the L-twin sounds intoxicating. And it makes a tolerable intermediate distance sporttourer with soft luggage.

'05 S4R Lot's of Fun & Good Looks
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 30, 2008Fun Bike to own. Not the best bike I have ever owned but close to it. You can make a lot of modifications to boost power, etc if you need to. Draws a crowd no matter where it's parked. Can be a harsh ride on bumpy roads even after making suspension adjustments and doesn't like to ride around ... in slow moving traffic. At the present time, my other bike is an '03 Kawasaki ZRX and they are as different as night and day.

the duke or ducs
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 26, 2008This is my 4th bike first an r1 then a gsxr1000 then a beautiful 999r that i still own and now my beautiful all black 05 S4R. It has the extreme ammounts of power that i want when i want it but has very good manner when you just want to ride. It has better comfort than the r1 or the gsxr. i can flip ... it through corners easier and i can pull from most other bikes at a low RPM meaning i shift alot less. when i want to show off a flick of the rist lifts the front end when i want it to and has enough torgue to roast off a 180 tire. taking a passenger is quite comfortable sitting a little more upright alot less stress on the back and hands. and for the money i got it for shows, i havent broke down or had any major repairs needed.
