Duc 999R
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 21, 2011If you're a Duc fan, behold a V-twin with loads of power, and great looks. Though not as refined as the newer 848/1098/1198s still a force to be reckoned with. Extremely linear power delivery, in fact almost no power band. All the sudden you're at redline not realizing it. Brembo brakes were ... great, Ohlins forks are superb, though barely noticeable over Showa forks used on lower end Ducs and Japanese bikes. Bike is extremely stable around corners, and likes to be thrown around. Not as razor sharp as the Japanese bikes, but then it weighs a relative 30-40lbs more dry. Bike feels heavy, and high center of gravity. Could use adjustable rearsets, and some BST wheels.
