What a suprise
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 15, 2013I have had and rode a variety of bikes, but none before with a CTV transmission like the one on the Mana 850 GT. it took about 10 minutes for me to get used to not having a cluch. You can ride the bike in automatic mode or manual. After playing around with the manual, I generally keep the bike ... in automatic. Two modes of automatic, touring and sport. Use touring in most conditions, sport tends to rev too high for my taste. The bike handles extremely well, breaks extremely well, and riding through the canyons is a blast. Even in auto touring mode, take your hand off the throttle and engine breaking kicks in, making canyon turns as reliable as downshifting manually, but without having to think of which gear you are in. Great bike for commuting, canyon riding and comfortable enough for longer rides.
