Best I Ever Rode (Part III)
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Sep 26, 2011I have now been riding this gem for a little over two years and have 20219 miles on this motorcycle. I rode during this hot summer on a trip from Texas to Charleston SC IN 22.5 hours. Needles to say I did not baby this gem, I pushed it hard. The only mods on this bike is Rinehardt mufflers with true ... dual head pipes, SE high flow AC, stage one flash, and a Power Commander V, and had it Dino by the HD Local dealer. The trip was a success. And yes, I still say this gem cannot be outmatched, and still the best I ever rode. By the way, replaced all lights with LED lights and does wonders for seeing all at night.

First dresser, second Harley
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 08, 2011Bought my 2010 Limited 3 weeks ago, used. I usually ride a 94 dyna low rider convertible with a 113" 140 hp Ultima competition motor. Still have this bike.
The Limited is truly the Cadillac of harleys. My first impression was wow, what a sled. But, after i added VH twin slash rounds, kn filter ... and se255 cams, this bike will scoot. Pulls hard up to 4500 rpm, even in 6th gear.
I am still amazed as to how this thing corners as well.
The frame and swing arm changes made to the limited has truly improved the ride quality of the big bikes.
I could not be happier!!!

This is no "old mans bike"
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2011I'm 38 & my husband is 44. We traded our 2008 Road King for this bike in Feb of 2010. We enjoyed our Road King very much, however with our long trips my husband wanted to make my ride more confertable. Man did he! I said "I want to feel this bike get up and move like the Road King" and boy she ... will! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BIKE. The radio/VOX system & power in the trunk a major bonus. Only one complaint. My husband is 6'3" and we had to purchase another windshield due to the edge was right in is line of sight. Purchased the new scoop windshield for less wind for me and he really likes it.

2010 Limited Ultimate touring machine
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 14, 2011I got my Limited in the middle of July and have put over 7,000 miles on it. The first trip was to Colorado through Utah into Arizona and back from Michigan. The only problem I had was spark knock climbing pikes peak but the air was thin and it was HOT!
The heat issue on the right side where ... the pipes come together is valid, but fixable.
When I got back from the trip, I installed Bub Straight 8 pipes a heavy breather air intake and a V&H Fuelpak
tuner.
These modifications made the motor run cooler and more responsive, This machine handles great and has all the nice features. I did not think that I would use the heated handlebars but I have found them to be very useful on cold days. The security system is great also, just shut it off and walk away, you cannot start it without the key fob.
I also get a lot of complements on the paint, black/black ice pearl. All in all this is a awesome machine a little pricey but I am glad I spent the extra on the limited!

What a Great Ride...
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 09, 2010I've recently traded in my 2006 FLTCUSE for a scarlet red and vivid black FLHTK and have no regrets whatsoever. Even though it doesn't have near the chrome and flashy paint that comes stock on the CVO bikes, it handles like a dream and I can't stop smiling every time I twist the throttle. Currently ... riding in Newfoundland and am thankful for the heated grips (which work so much better than the 2006 version). We're really hoping not to put the ABS to the test on this trip, but there are thousands of moose in this Province so it certainly is a possibility. For those riding 2008 and earlier HD tourning machines, be very, very careful when visiting your local dealer. One ride on these newly designed bikes and you'll be hooked...it's hard to describe how responsive the bike feels. Cheers from a very satisfied Canadian FLHTK owner!

My baby
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 02, 20102 weeks ago I traded my 2005 Ultra classic and my 2008 Haritage in on Baby my 2010 Ultra limited 103 and its the best hog I have ever had its a ride like none other and Ive been riding Harleys for over 45 years now. Iam 63 now and I will keep my new 2010 limited forever and own no other. Its got ... it all. The ride is smooth and comportable and the brakes are like nothing i have ever used to stop with. Any one that thinks they can out stop the new ABS braking systems on the limited are lying. The new rear drop out rear cylinder is great also to keep the enging cooler especialy here in Florida. Its the best by far Harley I have ever owned. Thankyou Harley Sorry I tried to upload a photo of my 2010 but had problems so you dont get to see her but its the blue and black and she is pretty.

Scarlet Red and Black FLHTK
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 29, 2010I got my Limited in June and have 3000 miles on the bike. My 7th HD and by far the best one yet! I put on the SE Stage 1 air cleaner; flashed the ECM and V & H 4" round twin slants (outstanding performance and livable sound)The 2010 colors are far better than the 2011 colors even with the price differential ... for plain black.
I too had to use the ABS to avoid a deer in the UP of Michigan; never be without it again.

OMG
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 22, 2010I on bought her a week ago, 7/13/10, and I'm in love. Traded a 2003 Ultra that I had 60K miles on the odometer. The service manager warned me that the 2010/103 would be a totally different ride from my 2003/88, but that I would like it. How true, how true. My 88 took me out to the Rockies three ... different times and me and my 103 will be heading out there again in 2011. Pittsburgh to Missoula to Phoenix to Houston and home.
The brakes on my 88 would fade on a hot day. The Brembo brakes on the 103 grab and hold even at >100 degrees road temperature.
I'm leaving her in stock condition and I like the deep throaty Harley sound as is. The screaming eagle pipes on my 88 tended to get on my nerves three weeks into a long trip.
Thank you New Castle Harley Davidson, PA.

Totally awesome
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 16, 2010My wife and i have owned several Classic's and Ultra's and have been keeping up with all of the Harley improvemants as they come along every year or two.Our latest purchase will be a hard one to get rid of.Starting with the stunning merlot sunglo/cherry sunglo paint to the awesome power of the 103" ... monster underneath us,I really can't think of anything I would change.Although I was talking to a very good source and he heard through the grapevine that the 2011 Limited will be even more plush. We will wait and see.

2010 Color Choices
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 04, 2010I don't know who dropped the ball at Harley Davidson concerning the color choices on the Limited, but I bought a new regular Ultra Classic with the 96 cubes instead of the Limited, specifically due to the deplorable color choices. I tried to figure out what they could possibly be thinking when they ... came up with these colors, and I can't smell a clue !!! The regular Ultra has a much better paint job. You would think that you would get a great paint scheme, and at least some saddlebag rail guards for this amount of money extra.

Mr. Pig
By (I am an Owner) on May 15, 2010I bought my EG Ultra LTD in Germany. I am pleasantly surprised by this bike. I'm six feet tall and 240 pounds. This bike will carry me, my wife and full bags with no hesitation at a glide speed of over 120 miles per hour. I say glide speed because at 120 mph you understand why this bike is called ... an E-glide.
After riding the bike for 2000+ miles, I found that there are a couple short comings on the bike. If you are tall you will find that you need a bit more leg room. However, if you are too much shorter, you might have trouble mounting the bike.
The other short coming that I have noticed is the excessive vibration in the handle bar while idling that completely goes away the second you get moving.
This bike is very easy to ride for a big bike. It rides more like a smaller bike. It's very maneuverable and easy to handle. I've been through some of the toughest switchbacks that I have ever been through with the ease of a moped.
The fork mounted fairing is extremely manageable in strong wind with virtually no compensation needed while passing tractor trailers on the Autobahn.
The 103 engine moves the bike effortlessly at any speed or incline while fully loaded. I've had to do nothing to this bike for it to be a completely satisfying ride.
This is one easy rider that will be with me until it dies. Which, with Harleys tight specs and maintenance, should be several decades.

So Far, So Good
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 12, 2010I picked up my FLHTK in January and now the weather is good, I am out when I can. I am still in the break in stage but the torque is fantastic and the fly-by-wire is real smooth. The fit and finish is fantastic. I can not wait to get done with the break in so I can crank it up. Love the smooth ... ride but it would be better to get the air shock valve in a place so you can get to it.

NIce Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2010My wife and I purchased a 2010 Ultra Limited in the Vivid Black and Black Ice Pearl in Oct 2009. I completed a 3-day ride's safety course prior to taking delivery since it had been over 30 years since I last rode and I'm 51. The things I like best about the limited is the ABS, cruise control, and ... the stereo intercom system. My wife and I now pick out a weekend trip and actually take time to enjoy the ride and scenery along the way. Another added bonus is when people notice the bike in traffic or stop to ask about it. We're both sold on a Harley.

I'm in love
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 01, 2010I never thought I would think about purchasing a full dressed touring bike but after seeing the limited in the showroom this spring....Love at first sight. I have a 2007 Deluxe and a 2008 Roadking and I thought my life was fulfilled in every way but then she caught my eye. I purchased the Limited ... about three weeks ago and after taking care of a few glitches with the radio system and some loose chrome emblems the initial disappointments are starting to dissipate and the joy of riding her has taken precedent. She is a monster pulling out of a parking spot but once I get her moving she is pure Harley wonderment. I will probably replace the mufflers....to quiet with the stock system. Does anyone have suggestions on which mufflers I should purchase?

Best I Ever Rode
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jan 26, 2010I have been a rider for 40 years, I have had several bikes ( Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki) and none can match a Harley, no matter how old. My first harley was a 203 Anniversary Road King, second a 2008 Street Glide, and finally the best I have ever riden a 2010 FLHTK (103.) The Limited cannot be outmatched ... by anything out on the market. Looks great, runs extremely well, and manaeuvers like no other. Much more cannot be said as there is none any better than this fine machine.

This Is It!!
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 21, 2009This is the big Harley that I have been waiting for. Tried a 2007 Road King after 5 years on a Dyna Low rider. I was NOT happy! Did not think the RK ride was much improved over the Dyna for long rides and the heat coming off the back cylinder was unbearable! Sold the Road King after only a year ... and played around with Triumphs while reconsidering my desire for a true touring bike. Then came the Ultra Limited with the improved frame from '09 and the bigger 103" motor. It was worth the wait and is everything I was looking for in a tourer and more. Absolutely no complaints and I can't imagine ever getting another bike.
