Awesome bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 01, 2014I recently purchased the 1600 GT Sport. I had been riding a Honda ST1300, which I thought was a pretty decent bike. It lacked a lot of bells and whistles but handled and ran great.
Then I saw the 1600gt sport. It's an amazing looking bike in the orange paint with black wheels.
Decided ... to test ride it, but told salesman if it first blow me away, I'd be riding the Honda home.
I've been riding for more than 40 yrs, raced mx, ridden across the country. This is by far the finest motorcycle I have ever ridden! The 160 is about as strong as you'd ever need touring, or ripping the twisty roads up. But what is more amazing than that is the "electric" smooth delivery of the power.
I handles as well as any sport bike I've ever ridden, but the luxurious comfort of the monster big goldwings.
I HIGHLY recommend this line of bikes, the BMW K1600GT, GT Sport or the GTL. Imy not into the trunk think, and lived the way the sport looked, so that's what I got. Although I ended up putting a 2012 GT windshield on it. The sport windshield was a bit too short for me. In it highest postion, I was still looking over it.The 2014 GT windshield is the same that's on the GTL's, too tall.

Awesome Bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 08, 2014I tried the K1600GT Sport as a loaner while my brand new R1200RT was down due to the "no ride' recall! To say I was blown away is a major under statement. Where to start....oh yes 160hp! Most amazing engine I have ever experienced in a motorcycle. Smooth, powerful and torque'e (if that is a word). ... The handle due to the low CG is stunning to the point of sport bike feel. The quality of the machine and the beautifully integrated electronics are first rate. I have owned many, many motorcycles over the last few decades and this bike is without a doubt the finest. I can't stay off my bike which is the best test of true love.
