The 2023 report documents the broad use of the inReach SOS feature, detailing incidents across six continents, nearly 100 countries, and three oceans. SOS Activation Trends: Emphasis on Motorcycling

Data from the report indicates that hiking and backpacking are common activities during which the SOS feature is activated. However, there is a notable proportion of emergencies related to driving and motorcycling.
