Maryland dealership Bobs BMW is hosting a track day event with an up-close look at the new S1000RR superbike.

Bobs BMW is working with Roger Lyles MotorcycleXcitement Days for a track day event July 1 at Summit Point, W.Va. On top of a day on Summit Point Motorsports Parks two mile track, participants can get a guided tour of the S1000RR by CCS Champion Nate Kern.

Kern will answer questions about the BMW S1000RR and host a seminar on high-performance riding.

The BMW S1000RR is expected to hit showrooms in the fall.

Pre-registration for the track day is $225 before June 20 and $250 afterward. Kerns seminar and the S1000RR presentation are free and open to all, track day participants or not.

MotorcycleXcitement owner Roger Lyle is also offering a free taste of the track day experience, leading three guided laps of the track. Anyone with a motorcycle, license and street riding attire is welcome for the ride.
