Toseland to perform at Laguna Seca

MotoGP racer to tickle the ivories with his band Crash

James Toseland is known for his skill on the race track, but hell show his musical talent at next months US Grand Prix.

The Tech 3 Yamaha racer will trade in his YZR-M1 seat for a piano stool when he takes the stage with his band Crash as part of the Yamaha Weekend of Champions festivities on July 19 during the MotoGPs Stateside stop at Laguna Seca. Toseland sings vocals and plays piano in the band alongside singer/guitarist Paul Grant-Reason, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Warren Odell and drummer Gavin Hall.

The 2007 World Superbike champion currently sits fifth in the standings in his first MotoGP season.

When not racing for Tech 3 Yamaha, James Toseland sings vocals and plays piano for his band Crash.

As the official motorcycle sponsor for the Red Bull US Grand Prix at the Monterey, Calif. track, Yamaha will put on a strong showing throughout the weekend. Fans will have a chance to meet MotoGP legends such as former champions and rivals Wayne Rainey and Eddie Lawson, who combined split seven championships during the mid 80s and early 90s.

Yamaha also helped fund improvements to the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to meet MotoGP regulations when the circuit returned to the series tour in 2005.
