The latest masterpiece from the Alabama-based Confederate Motor Co. is a titanium motorcycle called the Fighter.

With only 45 to be produced, the premium limited-edition Confederate Fighter will be among the unique, high-dollar Christmas gifts available from the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog. The yuletide catalog is mostly made up of clothing, home décor and jewelry that are more moderately priced, but its the 11 rare and incredibly expensive items, including the $110,000 Fighter, that attract the most attention.

Ginger Reader, spokeswoman for Neiman Marcus, says a team sifts through about 400 potential products each year before narrowing the list down to 35. Experts from Neiman Marcus then go out and evaluate those 35 to find those with the right mix of quality, originality and excitement value before narrowing them down. The Confederate motorcycle was an easy choice, says Reader.

Imagine waking up to find Confederate's titanium Fighter under the Christmas tree.Confederate claims that the 2,000cc Wraith-sourced engine can propel the Fighter to a top speed of 190mph. The 19-inch front wheel, massive rear tire and laid back riding position make these land speed claims questionable but wed sure like to see it happen.

Other highlights of the catalog include, a $160,000 limited-edition 2009 BMW Individual 7 Series sedan, a $1.3 million Platinum Wedding at the Resort at Pelican Hill in California, a $250,000 authentic Guinness home pub and a $1 million Jack Nicklaus custom backyard golf course, among others.
