The motorcycle industry is a small, tight-knit group of people. So when one of us cries, many others feel the pain.

It comes as a terrible shock to the entire industry (as well as his loyal fans and followers) that longtime journalist and motorsports enthusiast Gordan Jennings has just passed away from cancer at the age of 69.

Gordon was editor of Cycle magazine back in the day and most recently worked for Motorcyclist magazine writing a column.

Motorcyclist's editor, Mitch Boehm had this to say about Jennings:

"Gordon Jennings was very simply a giant in the motorcycle industry," Boehm said. "He not only legitimized motorcycle (and auto) journalism in the 1960s, but his firm grip ofthings technical, combined with his superb writing ability and knack forin-depth research, made him one of the world's preeminent motoring journalists.

Gordon added a lot to the mix here at Motorcyclist. He'll be sorely missed, notonly by us, but by the entire industry."
