The World Supersport Championship has named five wild card entries for the May 31 round at Miller Motorsports Park.

Melissa Paris, AMA Daytona Sportbike racer and Josh Hayes’ spouse, will make her second World Supersport wild card entry. Paris competed in the 2009 round at the Tooele, Utah, circuit, crashing out after seven laps. Paris will ride a Yamaha R6.

Also returning as a wild card is Virginia’s Chip Yates of Pro Racing. Yates finished 26th in last year’s round. This season, Yates has been developing an electric motorcycle for the TTXGP but for Miller Motorsports Park, Yates will ride a Suzuki.

At 17 years of age, California’s Tyler Odom will be the youngest of the wild card entries. Odom races for Erion Honda in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class, currently sitting 12th in the standings.

Melissa Paris will be making her second World Supersport wild card entry.

Salt Lake City resident Dylon Husband will be racing in front of a hometown audience. A veteran club racer and occasional AMA competitor, Husband will ride a Kawasaki.

Rounding out the wild card entries is Wisconsin’s Jason Farrell. A part time AMA Pro racer and a CCS/ASRA regular, Farrell received backing from Pirelli to race at Miller Motorsports Park.

Qualifying will take place Sunday, May 30 before a rare Monday race day to coincide with Memorial Day.
