H-D chief visits MV Agusta HQ

Ziemer addresses employees of Italian subsidiary

Harley-Davidson President and CEO Jim Ziemer made his first visit to the Italian headquarters of MV Agusta and Cagiva. The Motor Company purchased the Italian marque in 2008

Ziemer met with employees at the companys factory in Varese, Italy, on March 16 to welcome the MV Agusta Group to the Harley-Davidson family.

Harley-Davidson, MV Agusta and Cagiva have a great and common tradition, Ziemer said in a speech to employees on the production floor. A tradition of creating the worlds best motorcycles in the segments where they compete;

both companies enjoy unrivalled customer passion for the products and brands; both companies also have extremely talented and passionate employees who want the best for the rider, and it is this last point that matters most!

There are many great strengths already within MV Agusta, and now with the experience and resources of Harley-Davidson, MV Agusta and Cagiva can achieve even greater success in the market more quickly.

Following his visit to the Varese facility, Ziemer traveled to San Marino to visit the Cagiva Research Center where designer Massimo Tamburini created motorcycles such as the MV Agusta F4. Ziemer also took time to visit with selected dealers.
