H-D guarantees Sportster trade-in value

Full MSRP value towards larger bikes

Harley-Davidson has announced it will guarantee the trade-in value of its Sportster motorcycles from Dec. 26 2008 to Mar. 31, 2009.

During that time period, riders may trade in 2007-2009 Sportster 883 or 1200 motorcycles at participating dealerships and receive the original manufacturer suggested retail price towards the purchase of select Harley-Davidson Big Twin or VRSC motorcycles.

Harley-Davidson will also guarantee the trade-in value of new 2008-2009 Sportsters purchased during that time frame for a year, also for Harley-Davidson says it will accept trade-ins on Sportsters such as the XL883 for full MSRP value towards a Big Twin or VRSC.the original MSRP towards the purchase of a Big Twin or VRSC motorcycle.

“This effort is driven by the uniquely strong value of Harley-Davidson motorcycles,” says Mark-Hans Richer, Harley-Davidson senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “Our strong trade-in values allow us to offer something nobody is likely to match.”
