Dunlop racing manager Jim Allen retiring
A highly-regarded figure in the AMA Pro Road Racing paddock, Allen joined Dunlop in 1979 and took on several positions including tire test coordinator, tire construction and service engineer, motorcycle race coordinator and road race manager. Allen played a significant role for Dunlop in its role as spec tire provider for AMA Pro Road Racing.
Before joining Dunlop, Allen was a two time Canadian National #1 plate-holder. Allen also competed in the U.S., making his AMA debut at Daytona.
Allen will be succeeded by Sabastian Mincone, formerly Dunlop manager of road racing. Mincone joined Dunlops U.S. branch in February 2008 after transferring from the companys Birmingham, England office where he served as sales and product manager for Dunlops European motorcycle motorsports operations.
