This week’s video is of a rider’s close call with a rearing horse. The rider made a quick last-moment adjustment to dodge out of the way, averting what would have been a terrible accident. She then made another good move to avoid losing control after veering slightly off the paved surface.

The incident took place last weekend as a couple of riders were traveling along a rural two-lane road. Meanwhile, a horse-drawn wagon was proceeding down the opposite direction. The first couple of riders must have spooked the horse which for a brief moment was completely airborne and veering right in front of the motorcyclist.

The rider was understandably shaken after the near-miss, pulling over as the realization of how close she came to tragedy finally sank in.

I always pull the clutch in when passing horses. If the person in front of her was on a harley it is almost a given that he didn’t because they are usually twats.

As if suicidal deer weren’t enough…She reacted well, and was lucky to have a good shoulder at that spot of the road.

When encountering horses, slow down! They may spook, and traveling at her speed it’s gonna hurt unless lucky-as she was.

Good reflexes and she reacted accordingly. Good save!
