Well, Eric Guidice, the dreamer of the concept, has demonstrated his determination by organizing the trip that launches June 15 in Times Square.
The series will follow the adventure of three sportbike-riding friends who leave their corporate jobs behind in New York City to pursue the ultimate bucket-list American adventure. "Escape the Apple" will take place over the course of three months and travel more than 20,000 miles from New York to San Francisco.
"I believe this web series not only appeals to motorcycle enthusiasts, but also attracts anyone who ever wanted to redesign their lifestyle and go on an adventure to pursue something creative," Guidice, 28, says. "I want people to see what's possible from a bunch of regular guys on a realistic budget that wanted to try something different."
The journey will include routes through the Appalachians and Rockies. The crew will be overnighting at various campgrounds around the country with support from a renovated RV that served a former life as a Snap-on Tool van.
The project is self-funded with the support of Butler Maps, and the soundtrack will be provided by NoonPacific.
