The 13th Annual The Quail Motorcycle Gathering presented by Medallia returns on Saturday, May 6, at Quail Lodge & Golf Club with over 300 motorcycles, scooters and bicycles exhibited throughout the practice range. Among the standout motorcycles on display will be the 1990 Yamaha YZR500, ridden by three-time Grand Prix champion Wayne Rainey. Bubba Shobert, this year’s Legend of the Sport, will also have his Honda RS750 on display. Other rare motorcycle highlights include a 1936 Crocker, a 1937 Brough Superior SS80 and a 1947 Vincent Rapide.

In addition to the 14 classes of motorcycles, this year’s The Quail Motorcycle Gathering will feature a number of premium displays and vendors. Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S.A. will showcase a collection of its historic YZ motocross models courtesy of Terry Good’s International Motocross Museum, including a 1979 0W40 works bike ridden by Bob “Hurricane” Hannah to both the 1979 AMA 250 Outdoor National and Supercross Championships. Renard Motorcycles will exhibit its signature Renard R100 Cafe Racer in one of its first U.S. public appearances, while Mecum Auctions and Corbin Saddles will present their two-wheeled offerings.

Additional displays from a host of other brands include Gigi Montrose Moto Couture, Heidenau Tires and Swiss watchmaker Oris, plus local food-and-beverage delights provided by Brother Bear BBQ, Marianne's Ice Cream, MMMChurros, Nitro Cycle, R Truck Food Truck and Sabor Latin Fusion.

“It’s the support of the partnering organizations and vendors that have propelled The Quail Motorcycle Gathering and The Quail Ride into a monumental motorcycle weekend,” said Kai Lermen, general manager of Quail Lodge & Golf Club. “There will be an exuberance to this year’s gathering reflective of the motorcycle community’s passion.”

Motorcycle enthusiasts will kickstart the weekend with The Quail Ride presented by Bring a Trailer on Friday, May 5. The 100-mile journey through the scenic backroads of the Monterey Peninsula and the famous WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca departs from Quail Lodge and includes lunch and dinner for participants.

Following The Quail Motorcycle Gathering, Ride for Kids, a leading fundraising program in the motorcycle and powersports industry, will host the inaugural Annual Why We Ride for Kids Fundraising Dinner at Quail Lodge’s Peninsula Room. Featuring an appearance by Bubba Shobert, The Quail Motorcycle Gathering’s 2023 Legend of the Sport Honoree, and a silent auction, proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and MOTOvational Inc.
