2024 Honda CBR600RR Returns To The US…The Old One, Not The New One

We’re disappointed, but we can’t say we’re entirely surprised to report that the last-generation CBR600RR is returning to the U.S. for the 2024 model year, while the rest of the world gets the updated version announced at EICMA. The older CBR600RR model was one of several returning models confirmed today by American Honda, including the CBR1000RR, but not the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP which was also updated for 2024 for other markets.

American Honda to Introduce XR150L and CRF300LS for 2023

Honda is preparing to add two dual-sport models to it’s U.S. lineup: a CRF300LS and an XR150L. Both models were listed in the latest vehicle certification data released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board, indicating that they will be added to the 2023 lineup.

Honda’s first CL72 250 Scrambler was lashed to the bumper of many a Conestoga wagon as it made its way westward, and I’m pretty sure it was a Kawasaki KLX300 that I wheelied over backwards, circa 1997, that really dampened my enthusiasm for stunting. At least Honda’s had the decency to change its nomenclature over the years to give the impression of evolution. Kawasaki is standing pat with the 292 cc Single that’s powered its KLX since 1996, along with its KLX nomenclature.

Honda Europe announced new CRF300L and CRF300 Rally dual sports for 2021, replacing the CRF250L and CRF250L Rally models. As of this writing, American Honda has yet to confirm whether it will import the new 300 models, but it’s likely we’ll receive news shortly.
