2005 Star V Star 1100 Silverado
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 22, 2015I purchased my V Star 1100 Silverado in March of 2005. After riding it for a while, I found the stock seat to be uncomfortable so I purchased a Mustang seat which I like very much. Power is adequate to keep up with interstate traffic and then some. Braking is excellent, however the front brake ... is very powerful and is easy to lock up if you get heavy handed. Ask me how I know! I have just under 30k miles on it and it has had no problems at all. It still has the original battery after almost 11 years. I keep the bike in a garage with a battery tender connected when not in use. I don't baby this bike even though I am 75 years young and still know how to twist a throttle.

LOVE my bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 15, 2013I bought my V-Star back in 2004 brand new. I love this bike! It keeps up with our Harley Low Rider & Deuce just fine. I'm a tall woman (5'10") with long legs (33" inseam)and need a comfortable length to the controls. I do wish the controls were just a bit more forward but that can be modified. I ... may also get some Engine guards and Highway pegs for those longer rides. I have upgraded my pipes to Cobra Slash cuts which give it a nice throaty sound. I did have to have them re-jetted, but they are great now! I'd recommend this bike to anyone. If I ever upgrade to a bigger bike it would be to a Yamaha Road Star for a bigger cc.

V STAR PERFORMANCE
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 04, 2008I HAVE A 2005 1100 SILVERADO WHICH I HAVE TRIED TO UPGRADE WITH AFTER MARKET PIPES . I REALIZE THAT IF YAMAHA WOULD UPGRADE IT'S FUEL SYSTEM WITH ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION AND A OIL FILTER RELOCATION KIT AS STANDARD , THIS WOULD BE A PERFECT BIKE FOR ROAD TRIPS AND CRUISEING AROUND TOWN .

Great all around bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2008This bike does a little bit of everything. It is light & nimble around town, yet smooth & comfortable on longer trips. It gets great mileage(40 city/45 highway). It has plenty of power. Many think I bought a Harley(softail classic), so you know it has the looks. I have owned it for four months, and ... is a blast to ride. Had looked @ others(including softails & road kings), but prefer my Silverado!
