Perfect for my neighborhood
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 14, 2014I live between Ferrum and Floyd, Virgiinia. The C50T beat out the C90T because of this. I have all the power I need for these roads and great mileage (62 mpg for first 2400 miles). If I didn't have a Goldwing for highway riding I would have gotten the C90T....but like the GW it is a bit much out ... here. Have had no problems yet to mention. So, summing up: the performance is what I expected; the ride comfort-better; value great cause of Suziki deals; and quality is good, but reliability unknown. The saddlebags are rated at 5# but I have had them stuffed with 25# more than once.

One improvement needed
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 30, 2014C50T, or VL800T, could benefit greatly by the addition of a 6th gear or a change in the gear ratios to allow the rider to comfortably ride on interstates and turnpikes with speed limits of 60-65-70 MPH. As it stands the 5th gear at 60 MPH or above results in a very high RPM for the engine (no tach, ... so RPM'S unknown) which over works the engine, causing more noise, and adversely impacting gas mileage.i'm getting myself in shape for some long distance riding and I wish that I had the chance to take the bike out for a high speed run, but this would of course is not recommended during break in.
