awsome
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 30, 2011I bought my nomad april 2008 off of the show room floor, fell in love with it the first time I saw it, my wife and I sat on it for at least 15 minutes, I road it from the dealership, and man what a ride, the tweek power is great, no down shifting just to throttle up, and the seat is great, I have ... road for 5 hours straight no stop, just to get gas and go. We love to ride on the two lane roads, for senic views, and it hang to the turns better than I ever expected. and when I have to go on a 4 lane highway and the big rigs pass me or I pass them, there is no weaving on the road like the light weights motorcycles I have had in the past. Just a truly great crusing motorcycle.

Having no issue.
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 14, 2010I am very happy with this bike. Before I got this one, I owned a 2001 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. Let me tell you there was a hugh difference in power, handling, shifting, and weight. I guess I lucked out and just have a natrual feel to any sort of bike. On the other had I have recieved an letter from ... a lawyer stating that a gentlmen is trying to sue Kawasaki for the odameter not able to show the correct milage. I for one have not had a issue in the apartment, but how many of us track the milage but only for the time when we have to service the bike. Overall it is a great bike, would recommend it to anyone. Unless this person is not use to have heavy bikes or the different gear shifting.

Top heavy - rides nice on highway
By (I am an Owner) on May 15, 2010But it was too top heavy and I bought a Yamaha Roadliner 1900, more power but less weight and much more stable and easier to handle as they have the weight distributed so evenly. I know many HD owners who have been won over. I loved the Nomad but it was scary feeling like it was a matter of time ... before I laid it down in a forced slow turn or parking lot emergency (quick avoidance of a car etc.) as you have to be really careful in slow turns due to the top heavy factor. I will never sell the Roadliner. Everybit as good looking as my Nomad, but better balanced and more powerful.

Love My Vulcan Nomad 2008
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 24, 2009I replaced my 2007 900 vulcan classic lt with the 2008 Vulcan Nomad. As of today 06-24-09 I have over 32,000 miles on it. "Really" I ride it everywhere. I have replaced the rear tire twice and the front tire once. Its the red and black one and it rides so good. Its an amazing bike.

I Love My Vulcan!
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 19, 2009I bought my 2008 Nomad April 13, 2009, which was Good Friday as well. It was the BEST FRIDAY I have ever had! My sis-in-law had bought hers a week earlier and once I tried it I had to have one too!
The dealer found mine at another dealership and it was a new leftover! I traded in my 2008 Sportie, ... a much smaller bike, and am in 7th heaven. What a great ride and what a great look!
I just hate to park it. I would sleep with it if I could get it in the house..LOL!!

my new nomad
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 08, 2009I just bought my new 2008 Nomad after riding a 2005 R1, going from a space ship to my new ride I have to say for my first cruiser I love the thing. Very smooth to ride, beautiful bike to look at. I find myself in the garage late at night just looking it over and have no complaint. All in all I love ... my new bike!

Just Bought it
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 09, 2009It's still too wintry in the Chicago area for me to fully enjoy my new mount. But, the first 89 miles (on the way home from the dealer) were pure heaven! I traded a 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100--it was a great bike. The Nomad is even better--a smooth, stable ride, power available with a small ... twist of the wrist. The rider seat is very comfortable, but I was ready for a break after a 2 hour ride home. The brakes are strong and effective with a moderate effort. The best attribute of the Nomad, however, is that for such a heavy bike, it is easily managed. It handles great, will change lines with steady pressure on the bar, and feels as if it has a low center of gravity. Compared to a similarly sized Harley Electra-Glide Classic that I rented last summer, the Nomad was much easier to balance and handle. The power delivery is similar between the 2 bikes. I'm looking forward to warmer weather to go 2-up and rack up some miles! So far, I'm very happy.

WHAT A RIDE !!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 13, 2008Traded my 800 classic for the 1600 Nomad, WHAT A RIDE!. Best bang for the buck, little is needed to customize it since it came with everything already. It's a head turner, I get compliments everwhere I ride. Got it in August logged 2500 miles and every time I get on it it's a new thrill to be enjoyed. ... I would recommend this Bike to anyone who desires the BIG BIKE ride without breaking the bank.

LOVE MY NOMAD
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 11, 2008Bought my Nomad in August as a surprise while my wife was in Germany. Though she was speechless at first, she totally loves riding on it. Very smooth ride, and comfortable for two. Its one of the more beautiful bikes and stylish. After shopping around, I felt this bike had more to offer for the buck. ... There's plenty of power up steep grades, and this is one bike Kawasaki can be proud of.

Best bang for the Buck of All Metrics
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 02, 2008I bought my 2008 1600 Nomad 3 months ago today. I have logged in over 9,600 miles in that time. I just finished a 3K trip thru the western states and this bike has it all. From the cruising comfort of doing 500 mile days (3 in a row) and feeling no pain...even my wife who was with me felt the same ... way...she says it's like a lazy boy on wheels. lol.
the rumble with the VnH pipes really gives it a great thump!
It is a beast and not for the timid...but once up and going this machine really blows me away... with the weight it has, it really holds up great when you get those unexpected side winds crashing on you...the bike never waiver ed once when that happened.

as good as it looks
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 05, 2008It s my first motorcycle, and when the salesman gave me the keys outside the front door of the dealersstore ,the 830 pounds beast was quite impressive...
this is not a peewee bike treat the monster gentlelly!
What a nice engine sound smooth and grommeling like a tiger grrrrrrr!
slow ... speed handling will needs all your attention and concentration but ounce rolling above a few miles per hours
heyha! what a feeling...very easy to steer and handle i find the passage between de first and second gear to be more hawkward than the others ones though ...maybe the lack of experience??
Overall i love my kawa 1600 nomad 2008
