Just a great scoot
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 08, 2014First off, all I've owned are Honda's, a 250 and a couple of 750's. I decided that I needed more "oomph" so started looking into the larger bikes. Like most riders, I thought I wanted a Harley. I love their lines, and have a couple of relatives that own 'em and who love them. I did test ride a few ... but it just didn't feel right, and besides that, even the older used bikes were well above my budget. Then, just for kicks, I went to a local Honda dealer and test rode a 2007 VTX 1800N1 with 7500 miles and a ton of after market goodies. It was as close to new as you could get for a used bike. Yes, it's big, and if you're going from a 750 to an 1800 the size can, at first, be intimidating. You'll get used to is fairly quickly, especially if you do a lot of highway riding. In a nutshell, it was the right bike for me. I feel like I gave other bikes a fair shot but this 1800 just blew them all away for me and the type of riding I do. I'd still love a Harley (who wouldn't?), but it'd be sitting next to this VTX, I can't imaging ever letting it go.

Terrific Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 24, 2009This bike handles like a much smaller bike and rolls on and off the throttle smoothly. It takes bumps smoothly without jarring you. The guages could be more high tech. It could also use a fuel guage and larger handlebars but overall very good value for the money. I am more than pleased with it. ...
