Bought it used, can't bring myself to sell it!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 28, 2012The bike isn't for touring.
It isn't for racing the crotch rockets on either the straight-away or the twisties.
It's not really setup too well for two-up long hauls.
That said it does everything else very well!
Mine has almost 17,000 miles on it. I'm the 2nd owner; the ... 1st fellow changed the oil (drive and engine) and bought some tires, that's it.
I haven't done anything other than oil change.
It starts 1st time every time. It rides fine. Handles almost as good as my old Ninja (thought doesn't do 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds LOL).
I like the look. I love the pullback handlebars. I ride all day on the stock seat...
Every time I see a bike ad or stop in a shop (ready to buy, because that's what I have been doing for over 44 years) I get close, but don't pull the trigger.
The little Honda does everything I want it to do, well!

Best On Earth!
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2009I have a 06 Shadow Spirit 1100 Blurple. Bike is very comfortable and very powerfull. It will cruise 80-90mph all day long, with plenty of throttle to spair! Very easy to maintaine. Just oil change every 4k and drive shaft oil change at the same time. Thats it! Very solid ride and looks awesome in ... stock form. Averaging 44-46 mpg. 10k miles and not a single issue yet. Has the best of everything. Shaft drive, liquid and fan cooling system, self adjusting valves. I dealed with Honda and picked it up for 6,700 brand new! Best bike I have ever rode. This is a perfect commuter machine. Very reliable!
