Nice ride, pretty, very well built, reliable, comfortable bike.
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 28, 2020I ordered my 2004 FXDL Low Rider brand new in January of 2004 with the limited edition (only 100 Made) two town paint and hand-painted 22-carat hand paint gold flake tank logo, chrome gauge cluster and bevels, chrome handlebar controls and master cylinder, backrest, luggage rack, chrome fork lowers ... and a bunch of dealer-installed accessories and a stage 1 Screamin Eagle tune with a dyno tuned fuel injection programming. Now 13 years later I still own and love the bike. It has 55,000 miles on it with only the cam chain tensioners replaced at 25,000. It still runs as good if not better than new with no oil leaks or burning any between 5k mile change intervals with Amsoil 20-50 in all three holes since new. It handles very well with good ground clearance for corners, great engine tune and throttling. Cruising rural roads I can cruise along in high gear from 30 mph and up even on steep hills. I installed custom made Ohlin rear shocks after the originals got tired at around the 30k mile mark and the ride is very compliant with no bottoming. The front shocks dive a bit more than I like but I am used to it and only notice it during an unexpected hard application. Also, they hold their value extremely well. Been a great bike!
