Commitment Fears

Guys,
Like every MO I love bikes, my current ride is an '01 Sprint ST I've had since new but every holiday I look forward to test riding new bikes that could replace my current steed. For example, Griso, Le Man, Breva, ZZR 1200, R1200 RT. All of these bikes are fine bikes in their own category, but when its time to purchase I just can't part with my ST because it just suits me so much better.
The thought of being afraid to commit to a new purchase had crossed my mind and since Ive had my bike for 6 yrs am I now in the grandpa zone of owning this bike 'till the tappets wear out - a bit like keeping a favourite shirt and slippers? Anyone else in the same pickle?
