I currently own a very nice touring bike (R1200RT) but would like a second bike just for fun weekend rides. I like the look of the "naked" bikes. The Brutale 910 is a little pricey but oh so gorgeous. The Tuono, Speed Triple, and XB12S are nice too. But I really like the look and sound of Ducatis. I have just about zero'd in on an S2R 1000. My biggest worry is maintenace costs.
I am very mechanically inclined and from what I have read, I don't understand why working on a Ducati should be treated like rocket science? Can't anyone with a functioning brain do a valve job on a Ducati? For the cool and fun factors should I be looking at another bike? If so, which one?
