Bimota To Display At 2006 Festivals Of Speed

Bimota North America announces corporate sponsorship and motorcycle display at 2006Festivals OfSpeed in St. Petersburg/FL on February 26.

New York, N.Y. (February 3, 2006) -- Bimota North America, Inc., the exclusiveimporter of thelegendary Italian Bimota motorcycles to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, will beshowcasing theircurrent model line at the 2006 Festivals Of Speed in St. Petersburg, Florida onFebruary 26.Bimota’s Italian made machines will also be on display at the festivities leading upto the mainevent.

Bimota’s current model line-up is composed of the Ducati DS1000 powered DB5 Mille,which has beenofficially launched to the U.S. market just days ago at the New York InternationalMotorcycleShow. Utilizing the very same power plant is the Tesi 2D, which redefines motorcycleengineeringby its unique chassis layout with a swing arm and hub-steering in the front. Themost powerfulBimota model is the SB8K Santamonica, propelled by a performance enhanced Suzuki TL1000R engine,sporting exclusive carbon fibre elements in both the body parts and the frame. Allthree Bimotamodels are available in the United States, fully homologated and street legal.

Festivities begin on Friday, February 24, with a Jet Hop reception, a gathering inan aircrafthangar for a festive evening with cocktails and open bar. On Saturday, February 25,a Yacht Hopwill take place from noon to 3pm at the Renaissance Vinoy Marina. In the evening areception willbe held at the Four Diamond Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club with live music andsilentauctions benefiting the Children’s Dream Fund.

The main event on Sunday, February 26, features a display of over 250 exotic cars,boats andmotorcycles. The display will be located in elegant Vinoy Park in downtown St.Petersburg, juststeps away from the host hotel, the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club.
