KTM Junior Supercross Challenge

By Sean Alexander, Dec. 30, 2004
*PRESS RELEASE* KJSC TO BEGIN THE 2005 SUPERCROSS SEASON

The KTM Junior Supercross Challenge will be held at all rounds of the 2005 THQ AMA Supercross series. This year, with the exception of Daytona Beach, Florida the KTM Junior Supercross program will be held during the sixteen rounds of the 2005 THQ AMA Supercross Series. The much anticipated season starts on January 8, 2005 in Anaheim, California.

The KJSC program has already kicked its season off during the first two rounds of the 2004 THQ World Supercross Championships in early December. Both programs yielded highly successful results; entertaining both the Canadian Supercross fans and the young KJSC riders.

IF MO was populated by a bunch of uber talented kids, we'd be there kicking butt and taking names. However, since we're staffed with "regular" kids, we'll be happy to go and cheer for our superiors. Speaking of superiors, 2005 is shaping-up to be a killer AMA Supercross season, with the likes of James "Bubba" Stewart joining a healthy Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, Kevin Windham and numerous other most rapid pros. We'll see you in Anaheim! -MO

Already in its ninth year of participation, the KJSC program and has entertained the dream of being a KTM Factory Rider for a day for thousands of riders. Each young rider is randomly chosen to participate in what has been called one of the most successful youth motorcycling experience events to date. The seven or eight year old riders compete on an identically prepared 2005 KTM 50 SX Pro Senior LC mini-motorcycle during an intermission of the Supercross venue.

Hosting the KTM Junior Supercross program for the first time in Canada was a great experience, said Sel Narayana, KTMs Vice President and KJSC Manager. The children had so much fun and we are so happy that we had the opportunity to showcase the KJSC in Canada. The KTM staff is hard at work getting prepared for the 2005 KJSC season, and we cant wait until January eighth.

Christy LaCurelle, KJSC Coordinator added, We are so excited to be back out on the track with the kids. Its such a great feeling to successfully help the children live out their dream of being a professional Supercross athlete for a day. Well see you out there!
