AMA Pro Racing Launches Mobile Apps
Flat Track and Road Racing will each have their own apps, each available in a free “Lite” version and a “Pro” version offered for $0.99.
The Lite versions display the name of the race track, session information, timing and flag status, running order, gaps between racers and each rider’s best lap and previous lap times. Information is updated every eight seconds during live events.
The Pro versions include all the features of the Lite version but adds detailed event schedules, series schedules, session results, points standings and links to news items. Future versions of the app will introduce Facebook and Twitter integration.
“This is just one more way we’re trying to reach our loyal fans,” says David Atlas, AMA Pro Racing chief operating officer and managing member. “Now, our fans at the track or anywhere else in the world can easily keep tabs on their favorite AMA Pro riders, classes, and series.”
