BEWARE!!!! VERY BAD BUSINESS PEOPLE. I have been going to Sierra Cycles for years, and never had a problem until now. Although I did not recognize the manager or salesperson that I had to deal with. Must have changed staff. Anyway, my complaint is that I ordered a rear white wall tire for my Road ... king, from Sierra Cycles,and explained that I could not drive it down to them due to a very worn tire, and a 100 mi. ride. Safety issue. I asked if they could mount and balance it for me and they said sure. I paid for the tire over the phone, and asked how much to mount and balance. The salesperson told me $176.11 for the tire, and $29.00 to mount and balance. After a few days I called to see if my tire came in, and they said yes, its been here, but they forgot to call me. Ok, so I drove my car, the 100 mi. with my wheel, and asked the sales person if they change the tube. He said yes, and I asked him if that was included in the $29.00, and he answered yes it it included. When I returned 2 hrs. later to pick up my wheel, the price was higher than the quote he gave me. I asked why, and he said they charge extra for the balancing, and the tube. I told him I was quoted $29.00 for mounting,balancing, and a tube, He snapped at me in a very sarcastic tone" WE'RE NOT IN BUSINESS TO GIVE FREE TUBES AWAY". I paid the full price and left. Biting my tongue. When I got home to install the wheel, I realized I ordered the wrong size, and the wheel would not fit. My mistake. So I called Sierra cycles and asked if there was anything they could do to help me out, and they said, If I would have brought the bike to them they could help me, But since I didn't. I am on my own. Very poor business. I should have been warned from the beginning, there would be no guarantee if I brought just the wheel, I might have taken a chance on bringing the bike in. If they could have given me a credit by bringing the bike there, why couldn't they give me a credit anyway. Guess they were pissed because they didn't make more money off me. Which only shows they do not care about their customers, only their customers money.I would have been alright with them not offering a credit, since it was my mistake, if they didn't say they would have, if I brought it in.
