Touring connotes long days in the saddle, and that means long days with your head inside your helmet. Fit, then, is going to be of utmost importance when it comes to selecting a touring helmet. Wow, we’ve been waiting more than a year for Schuberth’s new modular to get here if the date on this MO story from last year is correct, but now it’s finally here, a brand-new E1 in Hunter Blue (one of 15 available schemes) in this case. At that coming-out party last September, Schuberth said the new E1 is a lot like the C3 modular it’s been manufacturing for years, but with an adjustable visor to make it an “Adventure” helmet. Mission accomplished!

Nope, the blue helmet pictured is the C3 Pro, which German helmet maker Schuberth has been making since 2013. We got to attend a fun little media gathering last night for Schuberth’s all-new E1 Adventure helmet, which Schuberth wants you to know all about. What they don’t want are any images of it released to the public yet. We’ll play along as if everything’s perfectly normal.
