It took a bit longer than we expected, but American Honda has officially announced the updated 500 models revealed at EICMA are coming to America for 2024. These include the NX500 (previously known as the CB500X) adventure bike, the CBR500R sportbike, and the CB500F, which most of the world calls the CB500 Hornet.

Honda revamped its 500 series models, including a restyled adventure model with a new retro-inspired name. Along with a CB500 Hornet and a CBR500R comes the new 2024 NX500, which replaces the CB500X.

Last week, we wrote about trademark filings that suggest Honda was working on a CL500 scrambler and an NX500 dual sport/adventure bike. We’ve now uncovered design filings that may offer a hint at what the NX500 may look like.

Honda has filed new trademark applications for the names “CL500” and “NX500“, suggesting it may be preparing to expand its 500 range with new scrambler and dual sport models.
