Quickest 600 I have owned. Great bike. Cheap switches and electrical system.

Best race bike ever had
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 30, 2008I purchased the 05 R6 for track use only,I have put the GYTR Ti system ,PCIII w BNC filter, replace sprockets & chain(520 kit) plus rearsets, billewt covers & bodywork and it gave me 106 all usable little horses, combined with shorter gearing makes for The Perfect Track Weapon, It's so easy to push ... yourself to your limits, and the bike's limits I'm satrting to get fast.It also rips on the street even w the racetrack settings. I havehad Gsxr,Hondas but this thing is sweet. I love it,absolutly. This thing rips and I tested every other 600 CBR,GSXR,ZX but none gave the kick this one has.It will rev to 15,500 byt really beyond 9,000RPM this thing has some serious steam.

SCREAMER OR BUST
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 02, 2008DONT GET ME WRONG THE 05 R6 IS AN GREAT MACHINE, I JUST THINK IT LACKS A LITTLE MID RANGE POWER COMPARED TO ITS BROTHER THE GSXR 600. BUT THERE IS HOPE, I TOOK MINE AND BROUGHT IT FROM STOCK TO SCREAMER IN NO TIME. ALL YOU NEED IS MOTIVATION AND TWO JOBS. I INSTALLED AN AKROPOVIC FULL EXAUST, DYNOJET ... POWER COMMANDER III, K&N AIR FILTER. IT TOTAL AROUND $3000.

YZF R6 Funnest Bike Ever?
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008I am an owner of a 2005 YZF R6 and I believe it was the smartest purchase I have ever made. Not only do I believe the 2005 R6 has one of the most sophisticated sleek cut lines look, but mechanically fantastic. The only downside to the R6 is it can be a little choppy if your local streets arent up ... to par on there paving. Yamaha did a fantastic job on the '05 R6 and I would highly recommend one to any of my riding friends.
