Pleasently Surprised

I have only had my new 1300 Tourer for a few weeks, but it is much more than I expected. This is my first Yamaha, I have all Honda's with the exception of a couple of Kawasaki Enduro's back in the 70's. My last two Honda's were sold primarily out of financial need at the time. My last Honda was an V...TX1800T and I never did really like that bike. Plenty of power, but a beast to manuever. It was very top heavy.
Honda don't currently have anything in there cruiser lineup that appeals to me, so I shopped and decided on the 1300T. The ride is much better than the VTX1800T as is the handling. Ther is also way less turbulance on the Yamaha. The VTX was the worst I had ever experienced. This bike has all the power and comfort I need for now. My next move in a couple of years will probably be back to a Goldwing, my favorite bike by far that I ever owned. Nothing against the Yamaha Venture, but it ain't a Goldwing. For now this is the best bang for the buck for me. I am very pleased with my decision. My only gripe is the seemingly limited supply of accessories. Read Full Review

Comfortable and easy.

Bought a 2012 Vstar 1300 new in 2013. Put about 12,000 miles on it, most on long runs.The bike is easy to maneuver and the seat is very comfortable for both driver and passenger. Took it on the Tail of the Dragon in N. C. with my wife on the back and it handled, braked and powered out of the corners... great. Fantastic overall bike! Read Full Review

Great bike

I purchased this bike over a year ago. I put over 10,000 miles on it here in Michigan. One of the best rides I have been on. My wife loves the ride as a passenger. We took a weekend ride and put 777 miles on back roads and we were ready for more. But we had to go back to work. Love this bike. Read Full Review

2012 1300 vstar

I love this star I have had is 6 yr's now not a problem out of it.it runs grate.turns.rides.gas mpg 39-city-49 highway.and I got all I need for less mine is a 1300T.I will have it a long time I have ridden and had a few motorcycles from age 16 to 60. Read Full Review
