Very nice bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 19, 2012I've had my Vaquero for 1 year and put over 18,000 miles on it...power is ample and the ride more than refined. For the first time, a 3rd gear that is useful for that 20 to 40 mph region around town.
Fuel mileage is around 42mpg, premium fuel only. Maintenance is MINIMAL...self adjusting brakes, ... clutch and valves.
This is a really fun bike

Move over Harley.....
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 13, 2011I own a 2011 Black Beauty Vaquero....I got to tell you when pull up at the red lights, cars beside me roll down their windows and shout at me....."great looking bike". I was at the Hideaway Bar in Cave Creek Arizona....a very famous well known biker hang out. I pulled into the parking lot and a big ... gruff looking biker with Harley written all over his leather jacket walked up to me and said...."wow, this is the first Vaquero that I've seen and it's sharp".
I go to bike night at Westgate in Glendale AZ and people are always stopping an looking at the bike.
I used to ride a Valkyrie, which to me is still one of the best bikes ever made.....and this Vaquero is making a name for itself in the short time it's been on the market.
It definitely rivals the Harley Road Glide and surpasses it with more power and more standard features.

Fantastic bike!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 07, 2011Unlike the previous writer I purchased a Vaquero and am very pleased with the bike. The styling and the sound are great and the handling and power is very good. I did get rid of the seat right away and bought a Corbin for it, but I always do that to all of my bikes because I never find the stock ... seat to be adequately confortable. For the price and compared to the other touring cruisers out there Kawasaki has come up with a great one up touring cruiser. I have been riding bikes for 40 years and have ridden a lot of bikes in my time. My suggestion is to go out and try one out today!!

Didn't like the engiine
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Nov 09, 2011I took the Vaquero out for a test ride the other day. The bike was nimble enough but the engine sounded very whimpy. Coupled with a barely noticeable exhaust note, the bike seemed to lack personality that most other v-twins have.Overall, it was the lack of engine power, or what seemed like a lack ... of power that turned me off. If this is the same engine that powers the Vulcan or the Voyager, then I will stick with the other metric manufactures.
