Love my bike!!
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2010Wanted to upgrade from my Boulevard M50(which was a great bike). There's not alot of room on my Suzi for my wife, so she had to go. I had my eyes on a Vulcan 1700 classic and found one at a local dealer. I received an awesome deal on the bike and walked out with a 5 year warranty all for the grand ... total of $6800!! Let me tell you, going from an 805cc to a 1700cc will take a little adjustment. But within time I LOVED the difference. There is so much torque and any gear I'm in, all I have to do is roll my wrist and I'm gone. It's very addictive. The classic has 6 gears and on the open road, the 6th gear makes her humm so quietly. There is no tach but I can promise you that my Vulcan isn't even close to sweating. Passenger seat is extremely wide and my wife loves it. The digital display is a nice touch as well. It is a 700lb bike, but I have no problems controlling the 1700 so far. She's a smooth ride and in my opinion looks amazing when parked! For all those that want a bigger cruiser...look no further. The 1700 classic is your bike. You might want to invest in a windshield though. Going 75MPH is pretty brutal. Buy hey it's a cruiser, what do you expect? Let's ride.
