    Beautiful bike,powerful engine. Comfortable ride and stable with a passenger. My only problem is ferocious oil consumption. Bought with 22000 miles so I need to have it looked at. Have read online others have had same problem. Using synthetic oil vs petroleum and different viscosity made no difference. ...

Aftermarket Kuryakyn grips, Mustang seat, Cobra exhaust, tall windshield, Kuryakyn floorboards, , Kuryakyn highway pegs, Leatherlyke bags(will hold case of 24 cans :), and last but not least?     Had a '78 Kawasaki KZ1000 in '88 and loved it.... but on a cruse, your hands were numb in 20 minutes. Too much vibration for the open road. LOTS of power.

    Decided to get back into bikes at 54 and figured a cruiser would be my way. Bought a 2005 Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan thinking the extra 600cc would give me as much power in a cruiser as the KZ had. No such luck. Ran even with a 2008 96ci Harley Sportster my friend had but it didn't have the thrill my KZ gave. A bit disappointed I cruised through Craig's List and found a few Vulcan 2000s for sale in late January. Talked my wife into riding the 1600 and off I went on a 3 hour tour...., uh road cruise. Road the bike back freezing my stuff off but was overwhelmed by the sheer power and handling of the bike.

    After 7500 miles of riding to work and a couple of 2 hour cruises in the summer. I will never own a different bike.

    Whether gunning it to pass between two cars blocking the way on the freeway and suddenly a slight opening to pass or just accelerating up to speed, taking corners scraping the floorboards(ya' really got to lean to do that) this bike has guts and balls to spare. Powerful, just plain powerful.

    After 3000 or 4000 miles turning in a parking lot became easy. Even with those stretched back handle bars. This bike is heavy, stable, and did I say powerful, yes, powerful. I have never felt more alive than when astride this motorcycle. Pure joy.

    Oh, and if you wanna' cruise, hey, it does that too!

    I bought this bike new but I soon found out Kawasaki corporate. was not intrested in any of my warranty issues, six months later and and a few letters to Calfornia state automotive repair dept., the selling dealer called me asked me to take the bike in for the warranty issues

    Over all the bike has alot of power but it is some what dificult to manuver at slow speeds like parking lots, now I am having electrical problems with the starting system, bike wont start at only 14000 miles this is the worst kawasaki bike that I ever owned, I been loyal to kawasaki since 1969 with my H1

    and a few off road and street bikes, but the grass is not always greener on the other side
