Triumph Passion
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 19, 2013The story began when I was a kid of 10 years old when I flashed at a beautiful burgendy Triumph Speed Twin belongin to my elder brother's friend and I started to make a scaled model of that speed twin in plastic and metal fabricks. It took me nearly 3 years to finish this unique handmade scale model. ... It was an on and off hobby during theese 3 years as I have lots of homework from school. Some years later before leaving school, I noticed in the newspapers an action sale from the Police Departement about the very last Police Triumph Motorcycle in the country, as all the motorcycle fleet have completely be renewed by Japaneese Motorcycles and that a few best Triumph in more or less good running condition were avaiable. It was now or never to own a Triumph motorcycle, even though it is a Daytona and unfortunately has nothing compared to a Speed Twin. In fact, about two months later after the auction sales,I purchased my Triumph Daytona from a friend who use to buy and sell from the aution sales. He took 3 Triumph Daytona, and sold one to me. There started a long adventure of 15 years to put the motorcycle in its best shape, if I humbly may say, much nicer when it left the factory. At present time, I still enjoy it for some good rides, everywhere I go on it, there always an audience ( LOL ) and I'm still a very happy owner of my Triumph Daytona T100P of the seventies. I have mostly rebuilt and keep the motorcycle neat through these past years since I have got it, and now it is nearly in imaculate condition. The history background of this motorcycle when leaving the late Triumph Coventry Factory in England was to be use as an escort motorcycle ridden by Police Escort Officiers, for the Prime Minister at that time whose son is the actual Prime Minister! And there after, the motorcycle has also been used as a Police Traffic Branch motorcycle for road traffic and safety. The motorcycle is now black in colour instead in white colour, with all its acccesories to the exceptions of the police radio and siren. A a lovely genuine twin seat has been fitted at the place of the original mono seat which is still there and well preserved.
