Increased Speed
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 14, 2009I,ve moved up from a NT650GT, the unique V-twin from the 1990s, to this spectaularly engineered 919 this spring. The engineering is amazing on both bikes-reliable Honda technology.

919 Nearly new
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 29, 2008I purchased my 2006 Honda 919 off of Ebay with 1980 miles on it, so it was nearly new, so I did not get the depreciation hit. It came with Givi Saddle Bags and the rack to mount them along with the rack for the rear case, and a smoked windshield that just covers the gauges. I have been riding motorcycles ... for over 30 years, have been a MSF instructor in the past, and have many bikes under my belt. I still own a Softail Springer, a Ironhead sporty, a 1942 WLA and a 1953 Servi-car. After 3 lower back surguries, I went looking for something I can ENJOY riding over 75 miles, so after extensive researching and test riding I settled on the 919. This bike is just what the doctor ordered, nic suspension, like on a cloud but when you put it in a curve, you have confidence it will be under you when you accerate out of the curve. I ride this bike till I need fuel, which is usually around 160-175 miles with ease, and the power is just nothing short of WOW! Easy cruising is around 75 MPH, so I have to control my right hand all the time, I installd a throttle lock just to try to control the speed and not get a speeding ticket, which I have been successful so far!
I just cannot believe Honda disconued this bike, I am happy I have one, and I do not believe I will ever sell this bike just like I have the other Harley's. I had a 1982 CB750F, and a 1984 CB700SC Nighthawk in the past, but this bike reminds me of those bikes, just 3 times better due to the Fuel Injection, handling, and power.
All I can say is if you ever wanted a Naked bike, a Sport Touring bike, or just a bike to zip around town on, I HIGHLY recommend this bike.
I am a big guy as can be seen in the picture, so this bike is still a joy to ride, I stand 6'1" and weigh 255 lbs. and I can rid this bike with my daughter with ease.
